A down-on-his-luck crime novelist vacationing in a rural Mexican fishing village decides he can't call himself a crime writer without having committed a serious crime. He kidnaps his neighbors, his world complicates. A inverting, involuting satire-thriller.

 

Dustmarch

A borderlands exploration tracing a Pakistani-American boy coming of age in Arizona and a border reporter sucked into the corrupt morass of transnational trade, trafficking and politics. As suicide bombers start blowing up border crossings, the boy and the reporter are shaken by a young undocumented woman from southern Mexico.
